Miguel (30), filmmaker, from Tijuana recommends „Psicomagia“ by Alejandro Jodorowsky.

1. What is the book about?
The book explains how psychological realizations can cause true transformation when manifested by concrete poetry, theatre and shamanism. It includes many examples of the surreal but successful actions Jodorowsky has prescribed in Mexico city during the 60’s before he created the controversial cinematic pieces „El Topo“ and „The Holy Mountain“.

2. Why do you recommend the book?
Alejandro Jodorowsky explores creativity in many disciplines, he is against any stigma imposed from any establishment, with the “poetic act“ he presents us a wide open spectrum of how we can face different situations in our daily life, but also in our creative process.

3. You read the last page and finish the book. What stays?
Exploration as a fundamental tool to a creative life.

4. What is your favorite quote?
„One becomes wise only in measures, as he goes through his own insanity.“
